Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Amour Trail is operated by Viktar Vaitovich, an individual in Belarus. This policy describes what the Amour Trail iOS and Android apps collect, how that information is used, and the choices you have. Questions can go to vik.vaitovich@gmail.com.

What the app is for

Amour Trail is a shared date app for two partners. One person plans a trail of places. The other follows it, and you both keep the photos and notes. The information below is what that requires. Personal information is not sold.

Information you provide

  • Account details from email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. Apple may give the app a private relay email instead of your real address. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. The app does not receive your password.
  • Profile details: display name, email, sex (woman, man, or other), and a profile photo if you add one. A name, sex, and verified email are required before you can link a partner or plan a date.
  • The link between your account and your partner’s account, and date requests you send each other.
  • Trail content: title, scheduled date, stops (place name, address, and coordinates), notes, tasks, photo challenges, the vibe you describe, and the language the trail should be written in.
  • Places you save to a wish list.
  • Photos you take or choose for your profile or for a stop on a trail. The camera and photo library are used only for those uploads.

Information collected while you use the app

  • Location while the app is open, so the map can show where you are and reveal the current stop. The app does not request location while it is in the background.
  • A push-notification token for the device, stored with your account, so the app can tell you about a surprise-date request, a date that was created, started, moved, cancelled, or finished, and a partner who linked with you. You can decline notification permission, or turn notifications off in the device settings.
  • Crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics. A report can include the device model, operating system version, and a stack trace from the crash.
  • Remote configuration, including the address of this policy and the terms of use. That request does not add a profile about you.

Place search

When you search for a stop, the query is sent through Amour Trail’s servers to Google Places. The response can include a place name, address, coordinates, and place photos. A copy of a chosen place photo can be stored with the trail so it still appears later.

AI trail writing

If you generate a trail, a prompt is sent to OpenRouter, and from there to the model provider OpenRouter uses. The prompt includes the vibe you typed, the language, each stop’s name, address, and activity prompt, and both partners’ names and sex. The reply — title, activities, tasks, notes, and photo ideas — is saved on the trail. Do not type anything into the vibe or activity fields that you would not want a language-model provider to process.

Who can see it

Your linked partner can see the trails you share, including stops, notes, tasks, and photos on those trails. They cannot see your password. Unlinking removes the connection. An active date you share is closed when you unlink.

Companies that process information to run the app:

  • Google Firebase, for authentication, the database, file storage, server functions, push messaging, crash reports, and remote configuration.
  • Google Maps Platform and Google Places, for the map and place search.
  • OpenRouter, for AI trail writing, as described above.
  • Apple, when you use Sign in with Apple.
  • Google, when you use Google Sign-In.

These providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Personal information is not sold and is not shared for advertising on other companies’ apps or sites.

Deleting your account

Delete Account in the profile does all of the following:

  • Unlinks your partner, so their profile no longer points at your account.
  • Deletes your profile, saved wishes, push-device records, profile photo, and place photos stored for you.
  • Deletes a trail that only you were on, including its photos.
  • Leaves a trail your partner still shares, with your account removed from it. The photos and the date can remain available to them.
  • Deletes the sign-in account. If you signed in with Apple, the app also revokes that Apple token.

Crash reports already sent to Google can remain for the period Google keeps them. A partner’s own copy of a shared trail is not erased.

Children

Amour Trail is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to vik.vaitovich@gmail.com and the account will be deleted.

How long information is kept

Account and trail information is kept until you delete the account or remove the content, except shared trails left for a partner, and except operational logs and crash reports kept by the providers above.

Changes

A new version of this policy will be posted on this page, and the date at the top will change. If you keep using the app after that update, the new policy applies to information collected from then on.
